Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.

What Inspires Logan?

My family is my biggest inspiration. I have a wonderful wife and two daughters that mean the world to me. Growing up in Council Bluffs, Iowa, I was blessed to have a loving and supportive family that encouraged me to try new things and always keep learning and growing. I had the opportunity to be heavily involved in my father’s small business, a martial arts school, and learned important life skills including integrity, focus, and perseverance that I get to use in my work every day assisting clients in making healthy and wise financial decisions.

I decided to pursue a career in financial planning after recognizing the opportunity to help families from all walks of life navigate challenging financial situations in order to lighten the burden financial uncertainty may cause and allow them to spend more time doing the things that truly bring them joy.

What Inspires Tu?

I am inspired by what I can do to help others live better and happier. By giving and helping, I find the purpose and meaning of my life.

I enjoy working in financial industry since it allows me to connect with people, understand their financial situations, and work with them to fulfill their financial priorities. Helping others at any point during their lifetime and accompany them along the way with care and diligence is what drew me to the financial planning profession.

I seek to bring a positive attitude and encouragement to each and every person I meet, whether professionally or in my personal life, as I believe life may not be how we want but we can choose how to face and live with it to achieve better outcomes.

Education & Professional Background

  • Chartered Financial Consultant®
  • Chartered Special Needs Consultant®
  • University of Illinois – MBA – Master of Business Administration (in progress)
  • Illinois State University – BA – Finance, emphasis in Financial Planning

What Inspires Matt?

My family is first on my list for what inspires me to start each day with optimism and a positive attitude. The are my rock and I want to provide as much as I can back to them. I have been fortunate enough to have great experiences in life, and being able to share those future experiences with loved ones keeps me motivated.

In terms of this role, knowing we are providing the best recommendations and services through clarity lets me know I am in the right place. Life can be chaotic sometimes, and being able to provide stability to those with financial needs gives that feeling of joy everyone desires. There are a lot of things we as humans desire to know in this world and often times we need help. If I can be that helping hand so a person doesn’t feel the stress of needing to know every little thing in the financial services industry, then I know I have done my job well.

I am inspired by people who create, give selflessly, seek to understand, and act with kindness, conviction, and bravery.

I aim to contribute by helping individuals of all ages live their fullest lives. I began my career as a tax / trade / regulatory economist focused on domestic and international tax planning many years ago, supporting both US Treasury policymakers and taxpayers. I enjoy working with smart teams and applying my knowledge and skills to find optimal, practical solutions to complex problems. In my work, I seek to apply innovative financial and tax planning approaches that empower our clients. The investment decisions we make together impact how we live our fullest lives and feel strong in our overall health and well-being.

What Inspires Scott?

Making a difference in the lives of those around me is where I find true inspiration.

Born and raised in Omaha, I was blessed with two wonderful parents and 4 siblings that taught me when I was very young that it takes a village to be successful. The care and support I received early on have been a driving force pushing me to constantly seek new ways to become better each and every day. Over time, a deep desire grew in me that I may, in turn, have a significant impact on my relationships and those in my community.

I love to spend time on a golf course, with family and friends, and volunteering in the community. However, it is my commitment to the pursuit of knowledge, being compassionate, and helping others that has been the cornerstone of my life. I am grateful that I am able to live out these traits professionally as a part of a team that puts serving clients above all else.

Sarabeth Lewis

Director of Banking & Wealth Administration

“Ability is what you’re capable of doing.  Motivation determines what you do.  Attitude determines how well you do it.”

- Lou Holtz

What Inspires Sarabeth?

I am inspired by helping others and serving where there is a need.

I was born in a small town in Iowa and grew up on our family’s farm. I learned a lot about hard work from my dad who not only farmed, but also drove a milk truck when I was young. Watching him work hard for our family is what drove me to become a hard worker. That hard work helped me see the true joy in helping others and serving where there is a need.

After getting married I decided to change career paths and work for a non-profit organization in the financial industry in Boys Town, Nebraska. This is where I gained valuable experience working in the financial and investment industry over the past 16 years. A portion of that time was spent at Boys Town in several different roles which included operations in the investment department. I also worked in operations for a local Investment Firm located in Omaha, Nebraska for 6 years prior to joining TS Banking Group. I have always enjoyed working with clients and getting to know them as we worked towards their financial goals.

In my spare time you will find me watching my kids participate in sports or just spending time as a family on our acreage. They also inspire me to be my best for them and others every day.

Leadership

“The best way to predict the future is to create it.”

- Peter Drucker

What Inspires Kevin?

I’m inspired by imaging and pursuing an exciting and prosperous future! I have traits of both visionary and builder, so whether it’s pursuing the next big adventure for my family or envisioning what the future holds for the business, I’m always excited to be on the hunt for the next big, exciting opportunity on the horizon. Meanwhile, I also find meaning and grounding in being well-rooted in the communities around me. My wife and I are raising our four kids on our multi-generational family farm and find great purpose in passing on legacy and values from generation to generation.

People who have worked with me in a leadership capacity know I love growing to understand people’s dreams for themselves and then tapping into my skill of envisioning, building and encouraging to help pave the way towards a great future for the people around me. What makes financial planning inspiring to me is knowing we have the opportunity to play a role in helping people’s unique dreams to become a reality in ways that are impactful for them and their loved ones.

In what little white space I have in my calendar, I find rejuvenation in spending quiet time reading and exercising outdoors in nature (usually biking out in the country). When the opportunity allows, I love the family adventure of traveling to new places!

Brett Werner, CFA

Chief Investment Officer

What Inspires Brett?

I am inspired by seeing people use their time, talent, and treasure in service to others.

Ever since I was young, service has been a big part of my life. I grew up in West Des Moines, Iowa, in a family that taught me the values of using my skills and talents in service to others. After high school I moved to Omaha to attend Creighton University, a Catholic, Jesuit school that emphasizes service to others as part of its foundational principles. After college, I began working for a heavily community-minded financial institution. From my upbringing and education, I find joy in helping clients navigate their financial landscape, and by developing and helping them understand and implement investment strategies.
