Callahan Financial Planning Gives Back
“It takes each of us to make a difference for all of us.”
― Jackie Mutcheson
Callahan Financial Planning Company, in its 2015 Callahan Financial Planning Gives Back campaign, asked its clients to each nominate a charity they wished to receive 5% of the company’s annual income. The campaign resulted in the nomination of 43 different charities, representing valuable causes for our community.
The charity with the most unique votes received our contribution. While the process allows for open-ended nominations, you’ll see that charities with a wider reach are more likely to win. We publish this list with the aim of helping our client’s identify good candidates for their votes the next year.

A few notes on the Callahan Financial Planning Gives Back rules and process:
Each client was allowed one vote. A client was defined as a household, which may contain one or more individuals. In the event more than one vote was received in a single household, the vote was registered for the more common charity (measured by total number of independent votes). When variations of a charity name were nominated, we used the local equivalent for each vote. Employees of Callahan Financial Planning Company are not eligible to vote. Charities were considered eligible if they are recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax-exempt organization.
